James Hollis McCrory


James’s passions are pediatrics, piano, and philology. He has been involved in medical education for 50 years. He enjoys bringing innovative ideas to teaching the healing arts:  especially using Socratic dialogue in small group discussions. 


He is a contributing editor to the original Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS] Course, published by the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics in 1987. He trained national PALS faculties in the United States, India, the Philippines, Mexico, Malaysia, Belgium, England, and Paraguay. Recently, James has practiced general pediatrics for the Indian Health Service on the Northern Cheyenne in Lame Deer, Montana, and the Family Medicine Residency program at Eisenhower Medical Center in Fort Gordon, Georgia.
